Melissa Anderson, M. Ed. - UES Pre-K - 4th Grade SEL Coach

Melissa is a native Vermonter who has always had a passion for the social emotional well-being of students. She earned her Master’s in Special Education from St. Michael’s College of Vermont. Melissa taught in grades K-6 for 11 years and was a Special Educator in Kindergarten for 10 years. She is going into her 5th year at UES, where she has been the SEL teacher with a variety of roles from behavior intervention to running a restorative classroom to supporting teachers with classroom management and SEL instruction. In her free time, Melissa likes to do anything outside, especially riding her mountain bike and watching her kids play sports.
